If money is deducted from your account but the transaction is shown as unsuccessful, please contact us with your transaction information so that the payment can be verified.

1.5 Payment Security

Bangladesh Society of Medicine does not require users to provide card PINs, online banking passwords or similar confidential payment authentication credentials directly to the Society.

2. Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy

Bangladesh Society of Medicine aims to maintain transparent payment and refund procedures for membership fees, event registrations, training programs and other paid services.

Because the Society primarily provides memberships, registrations, programs and services rather than ordinary retail products, physical product returns may not normally apply.

2.1 Refund Eligibility

A refund may be considered in situations including:

  • Duplicate payment for the same service;
  • An incorrect amount charged due to a verified technical error;
  • Payment made successfully but the applicable service cannot be provided;
  • Cancellation of a paid event or program by BSMedicine without an acceptable alternative;
  • Rejection of an application where a refund is applicable;
  • A confirmed payment-processing error; or
  • Another situation approved by Bangladesh Society of Medicine.

Each refund request may be reviewed based on the circumstances of the transaction.

2.2 Non-Refundable Payments

Unless otherwise specifically approved or required under applicable law, refunds may not be available for:

  • Membership services that have already been activated or substantially provided;
  • Events or programs that the participant has already attended;
  • Digital materials or services that have already been delivered or accessed;
  • Certificates or other services already issued or completed;
  • Voluntary donations, except in cases of duplicate or erroneous payment;
  • Failure to attend an event where BSMedicine successfully provided the scheduled event; or
  • Other services clearly identified as non-refundable before payment.

Any event-specific cancellation terms displayed during registration will also apply.

2.3 Cancellation Requests

Where cancellation is available, the participant should submit the cancellation request as early as possible and before the relevant service, program or event has been substantially provided.

Cancellation requests should include:

  • Full name;
  • Registered email address or phone number;
  • Transaction ID;
  • Payment date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Membership/event/service name; and
  • Reason for cancellation.

Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically guarantee a refund. The request will be reviewed according to the applicable service and circumstances.

2.5 Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed and the refund procedure will be completed by Bangladesh Society of Medicine within 7–10 working days after the refund claim has been received, verified and approved.

Working days exclude weekly holidays and applicable public holidays in Bangladesh.

After the refund has been processed, the time required for the amount to appear in the customer’s bank account, card, mobile financial service account or other payment account may also depend on the relevant bank, payment gateway or financial service provider.

Where possible, refunds will be returned through the original payment method used for the transaction.

2.6 Failed or Duplicate Transactions

If an amount is deducted but the transaction appears unsuccessful, or if the same transaction is charged more than once, please contact Bangladesh Society of Medicine with the transaction ID and relevant payment information.

After verification, any applicable refund will be processed according to the 7–10 working day refund timeline described above.

2.7 Event Cancellation by BSMedicine

If Bangladesh Society of Medicine cancels a paid event, training program or other paid service, registered participants may be offered one or more of the following:

  • Transfer to a rescheduled date;
  • Transfer to another applicable program;
  • Account/registration adjustment; or
  • Refund of the applicable payment.

Where a refund is approved, it will be processed according to the timeline stated in this policy.

2.8 No Physical Return Where Not Applicable

If BSMedicine does not sell or deliver physical products through the website, a physical product return process does not apply.
